Gerard Emershaw

About the Author

 

Dr. Gerard Emershaw is a libertarian freelance writer, blogger, and philosopher. He grew up in Northeastern Pennsylvania and graduated from Wilkes University with an undergraduate degree in Psychology. He has earned a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Maryland where he studied Wittgenstein, the Philosophy of Language, and Ethics and wrote his dissertation on the Meaning of Life. Dr. Emershaw has earned a J.D. from St. John's University School of Law where he served as Articles and Notes Editor for the NY Litigator legal journal. He is a New York State licensed attorney with an expertise in Constitutional law. Inspired by the Founding Fathers and informed by a deep understanding of political history, Dr. Emershaw is a passionate advocate for individual freedom and a patriotic defender of natural rights.
